ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- HIMSS CONFERENCE – BOOTH 2303 -- Medicomp Systems, a physician-driven provider of clinically contextual patient data solutions, announced today the debut of Quippe Clinical Lens, the company's newest point-of-care decision support tool. The new solution delivers optimized EMR data for physicians that is easy to digest and promotes new levels of clinical insights. Long-time Medicomp partner, Meridian Medical Management, an industry leader in physician technology, revenue cycle management and analytics, is joining Medicomp at this week's HIMSS17 Conference & Exhibition in Orlando to demonstrate Quippe and the new Quippe Clinical Lens functionality.
Quippe Clinical Lens is a web-based application that can be added to any electronic health record (EHR) or health information exchange (HIE) system to make sense of data from multiple encounters across systems. It is the latest addition to the Quippe suite of solutions, which uniquely delivers longitudinal patient information within a problem-oriented clinical view, mirroring the way physicians think and work to drive optimal patient outcomes.
"We are proud to introduce our new Quippe Clinical Lens solution, which is designed to help doctors quickly see exactly the information they need at the point of care, allowing them to concentrate efforts on specific problems and eliminate other 'clinical static,'" said Medicomp CEO Dave Lareau. "Clinical Lens accepts data from any and all sources using accepted standards and then presents clinicians with a problem-oriented view of all the relevant clinical data for any known or suspected disease state. We are thrilled that Meridian chose to partner with us for the Clinical Lens launch and to incorporate our solution into the EHR platform."
Quippe Clinical Lens is powered by the same engine that lies at the core of Quippe Physician Documentation and Quippe Nursing Documentation. The Quippe platform is purpose-built to enable usable, elegant, clinical documentation that meets all compliance and reporting requirements and allows clinicians to make sense of all available clinical data. Quippe modules can be added to systems to give doctors and nurses a set of documentation and patient care tools enable them to focus on their patients, rather than slowing them down and getting in their way. Users of the newest generation of Quippe report productivity increases of up to 30% and much greater satisfaction with their systems.
"Once again, Medicomp has created an application that will help speed the documentation process for doctors, as well as improve patient care and lead to better outcomes," said Meridian Vice President of Application Design Angelo Perrotta. "Quippe Clinical Lens enables doctors to access only the information they need and presents it in a simple and elegant display. We know our customers will love using this product and find it drives clinical effectiveness and workflow efficiencies."
The Quippe platform includes functionality to help providers comply with new MIPS/MACRA regulations by prompting physicians at the point-of-care when additional tests or orders may be necessary for compliance with quality measures. Quippe is powered by the Quippe Clinical Engine, which uses millions of mappings between clinical concepts such as SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, LOINC and ICD-10-CM to enable clinically meaningful filtering of existing or incoming data for both clinical summary views and for documentation.
