CareJourney President to Deliver Opening Keynote at HIMSS Innovation Symposium

ARLINGTON, Va., March 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CareJourney, a leading provider of clinically-relevant analytics for value-based networks, today announced its President and Co-Founder, Aneesh Chopra, will deliver the opening keynote at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) Innovation Symposium in Las Vegas, NV. Chopra's keynote is titled "How Innovation Will Tackle Tomorrow's Challenges," and will focus on the strategic importance of innovation to bend the cost curve without sacrificing quality, the application of open data, open APIs, and open algorithms to improve population health, and the emerging opportunity for healthcare information "fiduciaries" that provide "clinical navigation support" to guide consumers towards high value care.

Chopra will join Cris Ross, Mayo Clinic's Chief Information Officer, for a closing keynote panel on interoperability, moderate the 4th town hall for innovators seeking to participate in the Argonaut Project, CARIN Alliance and SMART initiatives, and participate in several roundtable discussions on FHIR and Open APIs. Previously, Chopra served as the first U.S. Chief Technology Officer and prior to that, as Virginia's 4th Secretary of Technology. His public service focused on better public and private collaboration as described in his book, "Innovative State: How New Technologies can Transform Government."

In 2011, he was named to Modern Healthcare's list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare and in 2008, to Government Technology Magazine's Top 25 in their Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers issue.
