BALTIMORE, Jan. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has named Protenus co-founder and CEO Robert Lord as a speaker at the 2017 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition, which will be held from Sunday, Feb. 19 to Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
Lord, a member of the Maryland chapter of HIMSS, and Dr. Peter Greene, CMIO at Johns Hopkins Medicine, will present "Transforming a Privacy Program with Advanced Data Analytics" on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 8:30am. The session will describe how Johns Hopkins Hospital eradicated insider threats, eliminated false positives and created a robust security posture.

Proposals under review by the ACEC have gone through a peer-review selection process for enhanced efficiency and quality in selection of the educational offerings at the conference. This committee, composed of 14 appointed HIMSS volunteers from across all member constituencies, reviews and selects all presentations with those representing an organization or non-commercial interest given preference, a guideline followed to achieve continuing medical education or CME requirements.
